Tammy Brown

Artistic Director
Tammy took over the role of Artistic Director in late 2020 after serving as Associate Artistic Director from 2019 - 2020. She has been an ensemble member of the CTC since 2012, performing in over 10 mainstage productions including the lead role in Hamlet, and directing both Shakespeare on the Saugatucket and indoor mainstage productions. She has worked at theaters across Rhode Island for over a decade.
Chris Simpson

Executive Director
Christopher J Simpson founded the Contemporary Theater Company in 2005 and has served as Artistic Director until 2020 when he transitioned into the new Executive Director role. Chris has directed over 30 mainstage shows at the CTC and hundreds of improv performances. He also serves as an actor and designer. Chris has worked to grow the Contemporary Theater Company into a major force in South County’s business and cultural landscape, working with artists, community organizers, and business leaders to develop a thriving Main Street district. He served one year as President of the Wakefield Chapter of Business Networking International and four years as President of the Wakefield Village Association.
Maggie Cady

General Manager
Maggie has been a CTC staff member since 2012, serving as Communication Director from 2012-2017 and General Manager starting in 2018. She started her life in the theater at 6 months old as Maggie the Magnificent Mini Magician and has been working ever since. At the CTC, she has worked as a director, lighting designer, stage manager, improviser, teacher, and general problem solver on over 60 productions.
Rebecca Magnotta
(she/her)
Director of Art and Design
Rebecca has been working full-time for the CTC as resident graphic designer and scenic painter since graduating from URI with a degree in Theatre in 2017. She has been a frequent actor with the CTC since first joining the ensemble in 2011, performing in over 20 mainstage productions. In the last several years, she has also become a director, directing both for Shakespeare on the Saugatucket and indoor mainstage productions.
